I attended Pond's event weeks ago, they had a unique theme for this event " 101 High School ".

Well, Pond's always made an interesting and enjoyable event. In this event, I got so many information about acne.

The venue looks like a school. It has library, basketball court, canteen and classroom.

Today's topic : Teens Acne 

We also did myth or facts quiz :)

Being adult it means no acne ? 

-> Myth, because after you grew older, some people will get "adult acne"

Chocolate and coffee cause acne ?

-> Myth

Sunscreen makes acne ?

-> Fact, physical sunscreen causes acne, chemical sunscreen won't cause acne

Acne prone skin is hereditary ?

Fact, Yes it is, I got mine from my father.

face paper / film is enough to remove sebum ?

Myth, face paper / film will clogged pores 

Acne skin, moisturiser is still needed ?

Fact, yes it is, especially if you have dry skin type.

Rubbing your face, makes acne severer ?

Fact, yes it will cause irritation 

Hair products won't affect your skin condition ?

Myth, if the products still left on your hair ( read : not rinsed it clean) it will cause acne.

This is what pimple looks like

Inflammation is the forth stage of acne. Which is the worst stage, and it requires doctor to treats the acne. 

In the forth stage,  they will use Salicylic Acid ( which is my favourite ingredient :p ) , NSAID ( Non - steroidal anti - inflammatory drug )

 and Steroid. Aspirin is NSAID :)

Then, I remember that some people use aspirin to treat their acne, dr Eddy said that it is can treat the acne but first, we have to think, how many percentage of the ingredient being used in that medicine. But, better not use that way :p

Stage three acne, can be cured by using antibiotic like Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide.

Speaking of BP, if you read my blog regularly, you know that I strongly against BP because BP itself can bleached clothes. According to Dr. Eddy, we have to use small percentage of BP.

Stage Two, can be cured by using Salicylic Acid and Alpha Hydroxy 

Stage one, can be cured by using Birth Control, Retinoid and balancing the productivity of sebum

For stage 2 and 1,you can use drugstore products to treat the acne.
